Today's Featured Biography
John (Jack) Diehl, Jr
I currently work part time as a Site Acquisition Specialist for Echo Tech Resources, based in Longwood, FL, as projects become available. I currently resigned (6/2018) my position with Point Park University Track and Field as the Throw Events Coach. I enjoy Historical Reenacting period of US History from 1750 through 1840. I build Flintlock rifles for myself and family as well as doing repair work on the same for friends and reenacting brothers. I work for one year after high school and decided I need to further my education.
After HS , in 1967 I attended Fairbury Jr Co in Fairbury, NE. I received an AA degree in Sec Ed in 1969 I participated in Chorus (yes), campus newspaper, yearbook, Kiwanis Club events, Lettermans Club, Delta Psi Omega Nat'l Honorary Dramatics Fraternity (8 plays in 2 years, 6 leads), Football and Track & Field teams, Navigators (Athletic student Boosters club), Worked with Local Boy Scouts of America troops as support trainer/organizer as well as many student activity projects.
In 1969, I attended Doane College in Crete NE. I was on the football team where I severely damaged my right knee ending my season. Our football team/program (1966-1969 which I was part of) is still to this day. The only program to have a 4 year period undefeated streak, 38-0. Our teams and player names are enshrined in the school and National College HOF. Great honor, glad I was part of it. I was striped of my scholarship due to their doctor stating on the record, I couldn't play football.
In 1970 I played baseball for the Maryville "Indepenants" Baseball Club.
In February 1971 I meet my future wife, Lorraine Ann Rosa of Latrobe, PA. To the surprise of many we were married on 6/5/1971 and are still together and looking to the future with hope, as always.
Our two children are our pride, and the grandchildren our joy.
Our son, Eric, graduated from Point Park College with a Bacholar degree in Business Mgt. He played Baseball there and was the schools catcher on the 1991 NAIA World Series Team. Now, he is an LEO in the Pittsburgh area and has three children. Lindsey Marsella (19) entered Penn State U as a freshman with 32 enrolling credits in 6/16. She's an Astro/ Physics/ Linguistics, triple major, student with a 3.97 average currently at this update. Cameron John is going into 5th grade and Madison Carolina is going into 4th grade.
Our Daughter Erin graduated with a BS in Wellness & Health Promotion major and minor in Computer program development from the Univ. of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She was an athlete participating Shot Put & Discus for the Lady Gators track and field team. She was participating in the high school PIAA Championships in Shippensburg, PA on the same day, in 1991, that her brother was playing in the NAIA World Series in Utah. That was a big family day.
She worked for 14 companies (Mostly recruited away from others)as site acq, agents up to Eastern Regional Program Manager for various Cellular Companies. In 2014 she came to realize something and told us. "If all these companies want me so bad as to meet my demands, to have me work for them, run their programs and in a sense run the company. Why not start my own company and do it all for ME!" so in 2015 after getting everything in order, she started Echo Tech Resources, Inc. She's a small start-up and is growing, 6 employees and is interviewing. She recently visited us. One of her high school friends came for dinner, and asked how she could be here for 5 weeks and another before going back to Florida, Her response was priceless. "I work from a home office. When you are the owner of the company, the President and CEO, you work as much or little, whenever and where ever you want." And believe me, I DO!!!" I am a proud DAD!

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
