Performing with Blue Man Group and eating Biff-Burgers (Super Biffs with Cheese)! No not really, but I can dream can't I?
Wow, 20 years already……
After HS, I attended the paramedic program at Williamsport Hospital & Medical Center (1989 to 1990), since at the time, and all through high school, I was involved involved in Fire, Rescue, and EMS with the local fire department. I soon realized that my heart was in Fire & Rescue but not really into the emergency medical.
So, I flipped my career track and spent my undergrad years at Susquehanna University (1993 to 1997) and graduated with a degree in Environmental Science. While at Susquehanna, I began working in the environmental field at Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, DEP, (1996 to 1997) in the Bureau of Water Management office in Williamsport, as an Engineering/Scientific Intern.
Quickly after graduating from Susquehanna, I relocated to Northern Virginia and worked at the United States Geological Survey, USGS, (1997 to 1999) in the Geologic Division, at Reston, Virginia as an Earth Science Intern/Contractor. Wow, what an experience and ride that was…..
While living in the Northern VA / Washington DC metro area, I also worked at the national headquarters for the American Society of Civil Engineers, ACSE, (1999 to 2002) working with hundreds of committee members and organizations within academia, government, and private companies. During those years, I also married Christine M. Sauer in 2000, whom I previously met back at Susquehanna.
After 5 years of living in the crazy Northern VA / Washington DC metro area, enough was enough! My wife and I moved to the beautiful state of Maine where the scent of pine floats in the air. I attended graduate school at University of Maine (2002 to 2003) in Orono within the School of Natural Resources, doing research in the area of hydrogeology.
Today, my wife (a Registered Nurse at Hershey Med Center) and I live in Camp Hill, PA . I spend most of my free time caving (being underground), volunteering with various caving organizations (Pennsylvania Cave Conservancy and the Mid-Appalachian Region of the National Speleological Society), researching former Biff-Burger Drive-Ins, listening to 80’s music, watching classic Doctor Who, and enjoying every summer along the coast of Maine.
I am so excited about this year’s 20th reunion and the alumni website as I recently found Steve Rozyckie, whom I practically did everything with in high school. The good ole days of the 80’s….. See you all soon!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
