Today's Featured Biography
Andrew Yusko, Jr.
Hello There Fellow Classmates & former Co-workers of the Western Montgomery County Area Vocational-Technical School (VT2) in Limerick! I hope you will sign up and join in to see how your other Classmates & Co-workers are doing FOR FREE!
I was first introduced to VT2 by participating in a Summer Program in 1979 - The Neighborhood Youth Corps (NYC). The NYC Program, later near Graduation, led me to a F-T position as a Custodian under Dave Renn then, Ken Coots. At Pottsgrove, I chose 2 subjects of interest for Tech (Auto Mechanics & A/V Communications for being a Radio D.J.). Mechanics was filled & I ended up in A/V. Some saw me in the Dishroom at Lunch Time or in the hall with a Mop, Broom, Trash Barrels, Changing Light Bulbs, Cleaning Windows, or a Cleaning Cart. I was also a D.J. at The Next Door Lounge which led into my own D.J. Business and I eventually got Married (have 2 daughters now).
I moved on to Fast Food as a Maintenance Man (a lateral move) and then on to Driving a School Bus / Service Mechanic. I came back to VT2 to take PA State Inspection & Automotive A/C Update Classes. While at the Bus Co., I fell out of a Bus one day backwards and had to quit working. I Applied for & finally received SSD after fighting w/ an attorney for 4 years. Three days after my Grandfather Passed on, I was a Volunteer Program Host at the Local Radio Station (lasted only 6 months because of sponsorship).
I was starting to get bored so, I got help from The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) and Earned my Degree at MCCC. I had 2 phone calls one day while attending MCCC (both were a ½ hour apart) from two Radio Stations. I decided to take the Local Station close to home because of my Health Issues as a Board Operator. Despite my health issues, I make the best of it. I always told Joyce Derstein (Secretary) that I would make it into Radio one day and to just keep watching the Newspaper & listening to the Radio! (See Family News for my Health Issues).

and were good friends)

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
