Today's Featured Biography
Anita Wood Schroeder
Its hard to condense 5 more years into a few sentences. I'm still working as a paralegal, hoping to be retired by our reunion next summer. As for all of us Covid was a big deal, I worked from home for 8 months and during that time we sold our home, had a new one built and lived in our travel trailer for 2 months waiting for the new build. That was an adventure. We learned that we don't want to be full time travel trailer people but we do want to spend a bunch more time traveling and seeing this beautiful country in the up-coming years.
Well lets see, I was born in Eugene, OR while my dad was going to Bible College. As you all know his Pastorate of the Open Bible Church in Custer is what brought our large family to town in 1968. My family moved to Casper, WY almost the day after High School Graduation and I lost touch with most of you. After high school I spent a year in college in Oregon, then came home to Casper, met and married David in December of 1974. We've been married 48 years, have 4 grown kids, and 4 grandkids. After being a stay-at-home mom (4 kids in 4 1/2 years) for awhile I went back to college and got my degree in Legal Assistant. I have been a paralegal now for 32 years and really enjoy it. We've done a lot in our lives, from being in the ministry, having church in our house, doing sales, raising golden retriever puppies, remodeling our house and traveling. I am more content now than ever. Just looking forward to more grandkids, golfing and travel. In the five years since our last reunion, I have a couple more grandkids, have changed jobs (still a paralegal) and life goes on. Looking forward to retirement in a few more years, travel and spending time with my family.
When I see you all this summer (2023) I will finally be retired and ready to hit the road. We have several longer trips planned with our travel trailer. We really want to see a lot of places here in the US that we haven't gotten to yet.
