Today's Featured Biography
Susan Stout Harlow
Moved to granbury on aug 18, 1961. started 7th grade and graduated 1967.When my father and I moved to granbury, we had a cabin 14' by 10', a small bath, and a large porch to live in and on. It was a week end place that we would come to and enjoy. Fishing on the Brazos,cooking out,riding horses,learning about nature,etc. We would catch various snakes, animals and take back to Ft. Worth to show to the girl scout troop I was in. (sorry to the neighbors in Handley who receieved the baby skunks.) I still don't know how they got out of that pen. While we lived in the cabin, we built the house,Dad wouldn't go into debt, he bought a little lumber, etc every pay day, just had to stay in there like one year, when the bottom story was dried in, no insulation or sheetrock, we made the move. When that was finished, the upstairs was built. The house was totally finished the yr I graduated 1967. (I can swing a hammer better than some men)
Married 1968. Moved away to various places around Tx. Moved back to Granbury/Glen Rose area in 1996 (after divorce). My father passed away in 2004 and I and my new husband Bill moved into the homeplace on aug 18, 2004. Exactly 43 yrs to the day from my first move in. I have three daughters and 4 grandchildren, Bill has 5 children and 12 grandkids. Bill is retired Army.We enjoy our life together.
My hobbies are my flower beds and little garden, nothing so relaxing to me. Bill likes TCU football, fishing and model rail roading. He is a movie buff too.
