Today's Featured Biography
Jesse (Jesus) Estrada
For those interested in what I have done in my life Here goes: I spent 22 years, 7 months and 3 days in the United States Army. I have a Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star, 2 ARCOM’S, Army achievement Medal, and various other medals, awards, ribbons and citations. I was in the Ordnance Corp, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (commonly called Army Bomb Squad). One of our jobs is supporting the United States Secret Service for protection of the President and Vice President of the United States and visiting Foreign Dignitaries. Anyone assigned Secret Service Support also gets EOD Support. I’ve been on missions for the protection of: Richard M. Nixon, Gerald Ford, James Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush , and believe it or not Dr. Kissinger on his shuttle runs in Egypt. I had two tours in Viet Nam, been to Dublin Ireland looking for leprechauns (didn‘t find any), Seen the clock tower Big Ben in London and ate fish and chips like the locals, also saw the beaches at Portsmouth England. I went up the Eifel Tower in Paris France and went thru the Louvre Museum and saw the original painting of Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. I’ve been to Stuttgart, Augsburg, Munich and Widen in West Germany. Widen was just for the Crystal factory where I bought some crystal. I’ve seen the edelweiss in the mountains of Austria. I’ve been to Milan, Vicenza, and rode the gondola’s in Venice. I also saw the original Statue of The Pieta by Michelangelo there. I walked up the tower of Piza, drove up the Italian Riviera to Rome. I walked the catacombs of the Roman Coliseum. I saw the old Roman Ruins and what is called the Roman Forum. I walked thru the Vatican and saw where St Peter is buried. My wife thru a coin in the Fontana Di Trevi in Rome and she made a wish to return, so I had to take her to Rome a second time (but I didn’t let her go anywhere close to the fountain again) I rode a camel and walked thru one of the Pyramids of Giza and saw the Sphinx. I saw the Aswan Dam and stayed at the Old Cataract hotel in Aswan. I was almost expecting to see Humphrey Bogart. Saw the Rhinos and ebony wood carvings in Kenya. Saw the Victoria Falls in Zambia outside of Livingston. Took a flight over it and it looked like God stuck his finger in the Earth to see if it was done. When I flew out of Lusaka Zambia about one minute in the air, the pilot announced that the airport was just closed down because Rhodesia had declared war on Zambia. Got out in time. Zambia does not exist anymore, it is now part of Rhodesia. I went down to Panama and saw the Panama Canal. I saw the beautiful blue waters of Cancun Mexico. I’ve been to South Korea and hated the smell. I’ve been to Hong Kong and walked on the Great Wall of China in Beijing. I’ve driven from the East Coast to the West Coast in the United States, But I have not yet seen the Red Woods in California. I hope to see them some time soon.
I met my wife in Maryland while I was in the military, I married her three weeks later. August the 3rd, 2012 will be our 40th wedding anniversary. We’re planning to go to Denver Colorado and take the train tours they have over there. Hopefully we’ll ride the day tour and not the night one. My wife and I have three children: one boy and twin girls. My son was born three years after we got married, the twins 2 years later. That’s about the extent of my life except that I am retired now and taking it easy. After the Red Woods, I do not plan to travel anymore. I’m tired, its time to say enough. God bless you and may the Lord Jesus Christ keep you all safe.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
