Today's Featured Biography
Dennis Iverson
Two weeks after graduation our family moved to Colorado Springs. My father had been transferred from the Tooele Army Depot to Ft. Carson. I spent the summer there just taking it easy. Come fall, I went to Ricks College where I was roommates with Kirk Spencer and Ken Luke. After a year at Ricks, I returned to Colorado Springs and put my papers in to serve a mission. I received my call to serve in the Taiwan Taipei Mission and entered the LTM in Provo on August 9, 1975. The following year my family was transferred from Colorado to Chin Hae, Korea. Within a few months, they found a three year old girl in the local orphanage that captured the hearts of my family and it was decided to adopt her and make it permanent!
After my mission, I spent three months with the family in Korea before heading to Tooele where I house-sat for my parents and worked at Boise Cascade. In 1978, I met and married Lynette Pratt. In early 1980, we moved to Provo where I attended Stevens Henager Business College. By Sept 1981, I was divorced and graduated with an Associates Degree in Accounting and Business Management. In the next few years, I worked at First Security Bank in Salt Lake, Pan Am Airlines in New York City, South Area of the Tooele Army Depot, the Freeport Center in Clearfield, and MagCorp at Rowley, Utah. In 1989, I married my best friend, whom I had met in a bowling league at the 49th Street Galleria in Sept. of 1987. Unfortunately, within nine months we divorced. I was LDS and she was a member of Assembly of God, and she didn't believe the differences could withstand the test of time. I was so heartbroken, I lost 25 lbs the following month! During the next six years I worked for a couple different environmental testing laboratories, before trying my hand at sales doing in home demos of the best cookware in the world, Saladmaster! Finally, in 1996, I left the sales and lab coat behind, and joined the FedEx family at the SLC Airport. They are the best company I've ever worked for...hands down! It's been 18 years there, and I'm sure I'll be there until it's time to retire. Currently, I enjoy bowling, movies, and attending the Hale Center Theater. My hobbies now include the study of law, being able to represent myself in court and assist others. Although still single(and no children), I am open to meeting someone to spend my "golden" years with! I thoroughly enjoyed attending the 40th reunion, and was disappointed that more of my friends did not attend. I was so looking forward to seeing them again!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
