Today's Featured Biography
Shelley Green Pierson
I was married for the first time in 1994 to Rachel and Hallie's father. We unfortunately were divorced in 1997. I moved out as a single mother of two girls and moved to the beautiful Northern Neck of Va. This is where I met my soulmate, Danny. He was going through a divorce of his own which involved two daughters as well. We met in 1998 and married in 2000. My husband owns and operates a dairy farm ~ one of the last dairy's located on the Northern Neck and he raises crops-wheat, barley and corn. We built a house on the farm and in March, 2002 had our precious son, Nicholas. In December, 2002, our son at 9 months, pulled the cord of a deep fryer and hot grease burned 35% of his little body. We were flown to Medical College of Virginia's pediatric ICU for 2 weeks and then 4 weeks in the burn center. He had 7 operations~2 to remove the burns, mostly 3rd degree and 5 skin graft operations. He is healing nicely now and will be out of his compression garments within the next year. He is the light of our life. I want everyone to know that his healing would not have been possible without the love of family and friends and answered prayers.
My daughter Rachel is in the 3rd grade and enjoys singing, art and softball. Hallie is in the 2nd grade and enjoys singing, softball and she is competing in gymnastics. Danny's daughter, Laura will be getting her driver's license in April and is an honor student in the 10th grade. Hannah is in the 4th grade and enjoys singing, softball and competition gymnastics, as well. So you can see that we have a busy household but I wouldnt have it any other way! The more the merrier.
I hope this Bio finds everyone healthy and happy. And please keep Susan Jordan Gray in our thoughts and prayers as she is still battling breast cancer. Hope to see everyone at the reunion!!
