Chris Arvin

I have been all over the world since High School. I tried BCC for a semester which wasn't my cup of tea. I lived with my Dad in California and worked for a year. Then I entered the Air Force as a Armorment systems specialist. I big long name for Bomb loader. I didn't enjoy the job all that much. However the good part was that I traveled all over Europe, Africa, and of course the Middle East. I never had a chance to make it to Asia but mabey I will some day.

After five years I got out of the Air Force and returned to Bellevue for a short spell where I retrained as an EMT and worked in Emergency Rooms. That was a blast. But as always I was on the move again. I went back into the Air Force and spent another three years as a Medic. When I got out the second time I stayed in California and became a Licensed Practicle Nurse with the University of Davis Medical center.

California is a very expensive place to live so my wife, son, and I moved to her home town of Elwood Indiana. We moved in with her parents for three months untill we were able to buy a house in neibohring Frankton. Frankton is the classic small town. The only traffic light we have is a red blinking one next to the highway. We have one gas station, one grocery store and that's about it. It's just what me and my wife have wanted. We are tired of living with all the hussle and bussle of the ciry. At night we sit out on our porch swing and listen to the night sounds and watch fire flies.
I curently work with kids at pediatric office in Fishers. I love working with kids! They are so much more fun than adults. My wife works as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a family practice clinic in Carmel. She still enjoys working with all ages of patients.

Speaking of lovely wife, we met in England, were we both were stationed. Kim is a lovely woman that I have been married to for three years and loving it. We travled Europe together and have lived in a number of different states due to the military. I always thought of the saying "Soul Mates" was terribly cliche. But that's what we are. Along the way we had a wonderful little boy named Tucker Reid. He is now a very precocious 15 months old. He loves to get into everything and is starting to throw tantrums when he doesn't get his way. Ahh tantrums! It's ok though because he all makes up for it when he smiles at you or cuddles with you on the couch in the morning.

Right now I am applying to nursing school again so that I can get my degree as a Registered Nurse. I guess you're never to old to learn new tricks. Once I have my RN degree I still want to work with kids because like I said before they are so much more fun than adults.
