Amazing how we go through so many changes in our hopes, dreams, tastes in things, what is valuable to us now verses 10 years ago.
Life started out hard, I wasn’t popular ever in school, but some how so many were my friend in secret...
I lived through hell at home, in silence, until I finally had the guts to run from it at 17 years old...best thing I ever did was get away!!
As soon as I landed in a safe place I changed my name...some wont like it but it is actually my two middle names that Ive taken as my legal identity. It is so nice to not hear the name Liz any more...so much hurt and hatred and betrayal was associated with that name....now Im ME. I hope that makes sense to all you all from my past...but it doesn’t have to.... and that also feels good.
Im living my dreams now...have two wonderful Sons who give me more joy and fulfillment as a human, Mother, friend...I couldn’t ask for more...what wonderful young men they have become and still would rather go hiking with me on the weekend then spend time with their friends. I cherish the time I have with them.
I have a good man for a husband, good provider, honest and true to me and Ive been true to him...I hear that is a rarity any more.
I sing all over the state and have been invited to other states for special functions as well......As a kid I never let any one hear me sing, out of fear they would find a way to take THAT joy from me as well but now, I belt it out and watch in amazement as grown men and women break down and cry.
As I said on the classmates sight...I am a voice of rescue to the ones others may have dubbed not worthy of help...or for those who may be too afraid to speak for themselves, I've been through it and am NOT afraid!!
My life's goal?... to save as many people as possible before I take my last breath.
