Today's Featured Biography
Sherri Myers Thrift
After I graduated form Barboursville, I went to Marshall and graduated with a degree in Business Management. I moved to Richmond after graduation and worked for what was NationsBank in their mortgage and corporate trust departments. I met my husband Paul in Richmond, we married in the summer of 1994, both quit our jobs, and moved to Blacksburg to continue our education at Virginia Tech. There I received my Masters in Urban and Regional Planning.
We moved to Williamsburg with our son Cole in 1998, and several years later had our daughter Lydia. I worked in economic development while at Virginia Tech and continued working in the field up until 2001. I have been a consultant since then, writing grants, doing research, and writing. I also started my own company in 2005, Targeted Marketing Company LLC, providing marketing services for commercial and residential realtors. Exciting stuff!
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, participating in activities at church, reading, aerobics and that is about all I have time for!
