Sad News.
Another classmate has passed away, Kathy Becker McDermott. Kathy was a nice, kind soul. Many of her friends are saddened by this news but know she is now at peace.

Today's Featured Biography
Steve Lesgold
After WHS, I attended UW in Madison, taking only 7 years to get my degree in Zoology. Got married to my wonderful wife, whom I met at UW, in 1973. I applied to Med School in 1974 and was unceremoniously rejected. Over the years, we lived in wonderful places such as the Minneapolis-St. Paul; Moscow, ID; Eugene, OR and Columbus, OH. Our 3 children were born in 3 different cities! After working for 4 years in the Twin Cities after UW, I decided to go to grad school, first attending the University of Idaho and finally getting my Master's at the University of Oregon. I first wanted to be a geologist and then wanted to be a psychiatrist, but ended up with a degree in neurophysiology and spent the bulk of my working life doing software development and marketing, all at Chemical Abstracts Service in Columbus, OH. I retired in 2004 and moved to Madison in 2006. I absolutely love retirement and living in downtown Madison. I've been working on getting back to my earlier oboe capabilities, something that my fingers don't seem to want to cooperate with. I have really eclectic music tastes and my favorite style changes roughly every 10 years. I've always enjoyed traveling and lately have become just a little obsessive with the game of golf. My sports team loyalties lie with my roots and I'm a huge Wisconsin Badger fan as well as a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. Later in life I discovered how fantastic NHL hockey is and I'm a diehard fan (the only kind) of the Columbus Blue Jackets. I love photography and would very much like to become good at taking pictures of birds, easier said than done.
