Today's Featured Biography
Mara M. Parker
Still living in the DC area, which wasn't part of the long term plan, but isn't half bad, if you ignore the weather and Type A overload. Love spending time hiking, reading, swimming, kickboxing, and introducing the kids to the things we love, from nature to politics, languages, travel, the environment and social activism. Doing the general family/fun/work juggle with two kids and a job I love, working as a Senior Legislative Aide to a progressive county councilperson in a DC suburb. Santiago is still at NASA as an atmospheric scientist. Another big trip planned for Argentina this winter and I'm headed to Washington at the end of summer to help with my Dad's surgery, so unfortunately that makes the reunion impossible for me this year, too. If you're ever in the DC area, give me a heads up. Will miss catching up with you all in July--have a great time and bust a dance move to some 80s tunes for me!
