Nicole Mone'

So as not to bore you, dear potential reader, I will present my bio in small, easy to digest bites. Also, I will try to weed out all the unimportant blather, which is a lot, between 1989 & right now*. You're welcome.

Art as a Career:
* I paint. Not, like, houses. I paint pictures. This I've done all my life. I consider myself very fortunate to be doing this. I am blessed.

* Worked as an artist's apprentice/assistant in Laguna Beach & Long Beach. Studied art in NYC & Florence Academy of Art in Italy. You can decide if that did any good by going here: www.nicolemone.com

*Worked in art publishing for many years before leaving in 2006 to paint full time.

Relationships:
* I met David & thought, "Yeah. I could hang with this guy for the next 50 or so years." There was the east coast/west coast dilemma, but after a fierce round of rock-paper-scissors, east coast won. I moved to NYC. I, right now*, live just north of the city in Westchester County.

*My teacher/mentor/dear friend, artist Aaron Shikler, whom I studied under in NY once asked me if he will be included when I write my memoir. Since this may be the only bio I ever write - I wanted to make sure to get him in.

*Have greatly enjoyed reconnecting & rekindling friendships through the internet. Am hoping that continues.

Other things:
* I like sushi & pancakes & coffee.

* Since leaving the desert, I have a new found appreciation for its beauty & enjoy visiting. Gotta' love the summer nights under the stars.

* 8x10 glossies & wallet sized photos available upon request. (not sure of whom the photos will be...so that makes it sort of exciting.)

*If you are reading this in the future, the "right now" I've referred to is September 2009.
