Today's Featured Biography
Darlene Ennis Crosby
After graduation, I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Biology major. I graduated in 1990 with my bachelor's degree, and two weeks later I married Douglas Crosby (a Cherry Creek alumnist from 1982). He was hired by Walt Disney Company, and we moved to France in 1991 to help build and open Euro Disney. Our son, Alex, was born in February of 1992, and in 1993 we were transferred back to Orlando, Florida. Our daughter, Megan came along in February of 1995, and in 1996 we went for our second tour of living in France. In 1998 we came back to Orlando, and I started working for the City of Orlando as a Chemist and then as an Environmental Specialist. Somewhere along the way, I became fascinated with the art of jewelry design and fabrication. I have spent a great deal of my free time (not in great supply with two kids)learning to be a goldsmith. I am currently in the process of setting up and launching my business as a jewelry designer here in Florida. I will be using the latest in computer-aided design software to produce my pieces. I look forward to this new chapter in my life.
