After graduating from Twin Falls High School, I worked for The Paris for a few months. I then helped my dad paint the ranch home and sheds for the summer. Not wanting to leave my horses, the 1969 Firebird convertible, or the cattle business, I decided to attend the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) here in Twin Falls for a few years hoping to pursue the veterinary occupation when I grew up.
I worked for the Parks and Recreation Department as a swim instructor, a lifeguard, and a pool manager for many years on into marriage for the summers. After the few years of schooling at CSI, I attended the University of Idaho and pledged into the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority to follow the family tradition. After a semester, I discovered that idea wasn't matching my life endeavor. I stayed as a U of I Vandal, but my heart wasn't into all the 'wild-life' it offered. I did graduate with a teaching degree a few years later and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This was more my lifestyle. I worked as a first-grade teacher for 36 years in Jerome, Idaho and obtained my master's degree in 1990.
During my first year as a teacher, Keith Brown (TFHS class of 74) and I re-acquainted with each other. We were married the following summer. He says that his car, a 1978 Firebird TransAm, caught my eye. I say that I was ready to be rescued from life as a single workaholic. Keith and I started a family three years later. We have five children and 12 grandchildren. Our firstborn, Steven, is working as a Chevron manager for the Salt Lake City Oil Refinery. He and his wife have four children. Our second child, Jenny, home schools her brood of five children, manages the home finances and her husband's endodontic office, and was the Relief Society President for the church. They live in Redding, California. Our third child, Lindsey, is a Physician's Assistant. She and her husband have three children. They live in the San Diego, California area. Our fourth child, Chelsey, runs the endodontic office for our daughter Jenny's husband. Chelsey enjoys kayaking, swimming, boating, and fishing trips together with her 'Redding family.' She recently bought her first home as a single workaholic. Our fifth child, Kevin, just graduated from dental school and will practice for Comfort Dental in Fort Collins, Colorado. He and his wife will continue to share the ski resorts.
Keith and I have found the travel bug since we both have retired. We have traveled to Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Dubai, Italy, Germany, Austria, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Mexico, South and Central America, and many states within the US. We have trips planned to visit the British Isles this summer and China next year. Along with following our grandchildren to gymnastic meets, dance recitals, church events, birthday parties, this has been our life. We do continue to ride horses, play 'snowbird' in Yuma, Arizona, peddle our e-bikes to many bike paths and adventurous trails (including the Hiawatha), snow ski, and herd cattle to our various fields. We bought my parent's ranch in 1990; so, Keith changed from 'city boy' to 'farm boy.'
We plan to stay healthy for future international trips, for our grandchildren's graduations, for ranch-life, and for more class of '74 reunions.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
