We married shortly after graduation and honeymooned on the gulf coast of Mississippi for two years, while Bob finished his obligation to the Air Force.
After the service we lived in Streator Illinois for a couple years working under a government contract at the training facility for the Dew-Line project. When that project ended we returned to the old neighborhood in Detroit. Then in 1971 we moved to St. Clair Shores where we’ve lived ever since.
We’ve retired in 2000 and now enjoy, during the summer months, the fruits of our three sons, our five grandchildren. We also have five step-grandchildren, and two step- great-grandchildren. During the winter we’re fortunate to be able to bumble around southern Texas in our motor home.
Since the boys were grown I’ve held several jobs in sales. The first was managing our dry cleaning business for a number of years. Following that I worked for US Exchanges, dealing with world travel. Moving on, I work several years for Maloof Jewelry. I ended my working career in 2000 with Hallmark.
We are very involved and love spending time Square Dancing and researching our Geneology. We have authenticated our heritage back to 1751?
We are making plans to celebrate our 50th anniversary next year.
I would love to hear from any of my classmates especially those who went to Marion Law Grade School.
