Today's Featured Biography
Stacy McBee Braiuca
Summing up the past 20 years, hummmmm. A living journey maybe? I left RSHS with an "early out" because I had all of my credits, and like many of us, thought I knew it all! I ended up in a bad relationship then, but never could have seen my future! Drifting in and out of school after that I ended up with an AA degree from Longview in 1994 (graduating with one of my bestest friends from RSHS! and a 2nd cousin) I then zipped through CMSU for my BSSW in 1996 and then my MSW from MU in 1997. I am now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, but in graduate school AGAIN working on a 2nd Master's Degree in Public Health, then my PhD in either the same or a similar field. My passions include my dear husband, Jerry; going to Native American cultural events and spiritual ceremonies, and my latest OBSESSION, making glass beads with a propane and oxygen torch!!! This provides my "therapy" after a long day of research and school!!! Some of my work is up on my website and my blog. I also do custom orders of my glass art. My husband and I are very happy to be involved in the NDN community in KC. I am so happy to have attended the reunion, as it was great to live that "great equalizer" that Margo posted about! Now to just keep in touch w/folks better in the next 20! I'd LOVE to hear from anyone and to stay caught up or to catch up!!! Hugs, Stacy
