1987 - Husband Manuel. Bank Teller with Toledo Trust. Hobbies; PTA, Mothers Club, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, researching their family history and hoping to publish her findings.
1992 - Bank Teller at Society Bank, Laskey Road. Hobbies: I received a B.S. in Business from the University of Toledo in 1988. Now my children are both in college. I am involved in researching my family history and learning ceramics. Whitmer memorable experience: The fun we had after school with the Clubs and Organizations we belonged to.
2002 - I graduated from the University of Toledo in 1965 with a Business Degree from the former Junior College. In September 1966 we were married having met on a blind date at the University. Am now at the Trilby Branch (old Sylvania Savings) at Tremainsville & Alexis. I am lucky, I get to visit with lots of Whitmer Graduates and Teachers. Manuel a Civil Engineer retired from the City of Toledo and the State of Ohio in 2000, he became bored after a couple months, and took a job with the local engineering firm SSOE and enjoys working when he wants to. One of these days I might decide to retire and spend more time on my hobby of Genealogy.
2007 - Since the last reunion we have moved to a single story home close to Side Cut Park and the Maumee River. We both are working part time. I can't believe I have been with this company 42 years (Toledo Trust) now KeyBank. I work in a small branch in Waterville (I guess they will have to carry me out). Manuel works still works part time for SSOE. (We try not to take the same days off, Ha Ha).We finally have grandchildren Our daughter Jenny & her husband Paul have given us a wonderful grandson Paul who is now 3. He loves his YiaYia and Papo. They live in St Clair Shores, Mi. Our son Karl and his wife Rachelle have given us a granddaughter Rozsa, who is 3 months old. My Mom died last September 3 weeks before she turned 99 years old. I had the pleasure of working on the reunion committee, it has been fun and work also. Somehow I got roped into typing in the computer what everyone has sent in for the booklet. I have enjoyed that also. I can't believe it has been 45 years, most of the time I only feel 23 (until I get up out of a chair). I still do genealogy, go to exercise, bicycling, not much time for TV.
How I have changed: I used to be very quiet, now you can't shut me up. I have reversed rolls.2012 � A month after our 45th class reunion I found out I had colon cancer and went thru a bad year with surgery and chemo treatment. I was off work 9 months, now I have survived 4 years. In March 2010, I finally retired from KeyBank after 45 years and joined my husband who had retired a year before. We have been so busy I don�t know how I would have ever been able to work. We keep very busy visiting with our children and grandchildren. We travel north and south on I-75 at least once a month. Our daughter Jennifer presented us with our third grandchild Susan Grace Roginski, in August 2008 and they are moving to Columbus, Ohio, so now a lot of our trips will be south on I-75. We live close to the Wabash Cannon ball bicycle trail and ride it frequently. Manuel�s Mom died in April of 2012, age 89. We travel a lot and try to take 2 large trips every year. I have enjoyed working on the reunion committee and as you see, you still can�t shut me up. I am looking forward to our next reunion.
