Karen McCaskill Davis

I have been married for 18 wonderful years to my best friend and high school sweet heart, Douglas (East Central). To our union, God blessed us with two beautiful boys, Joshua Douglas (1998) and Kaleb Josiah (2006). They are the joy of our lives.

We currently reside in Tulsa having lived in various places, including the country of Panama. We have been blessed to travel both pleasure-related and career-related. Traveling for us brings a healthy balance to our lives.

I consider myself a life-long learner; I enjoy learning and surrounding myself with other cultures. I recently earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling & Marital and Family Therapy; with plans to open a private practice with my husband,
who is currently completing his degrees. (We plan to tailor the practice to marital counseling and counseling for children of the incarcerated). I occasionally consider pursuing a PhD, and then my sanity quickly returns (smile).

I am blessed to serve in the capacity of a Program Coordinator at the Margaret Hudson Program, school for pregnant and parenting teens, Broken Arrow Campus and Tulsa Campus. I have always desired to work in the “helping field” and love living out my dream. I try to provide a ‘hand up’ instead of a ‘hand out’ to individuals that have been placed in compromised situations. It is truly a rewarding profession. Of my accomplishments, professional and personal, the greatest is Joshua and Kaleb. The fact that I was chosen by God, the Giver of life, to be their mother, is most rewarding.

I am very active in my church. From a personal perspective, I have learned the importance of living life to its fullest;
to maximize each moment in order to reach my God-given purpose and potential.
