26 Year Reunion Announcement!

Mini-Reunion

Saturday,  September  13,  2008  -  7:00 pm

Top of the Dock Restaurant

We are going to have our "mini-reunion" on Saturday, Sept. 13th from 7pm until ???! It will be at the same restaurant that many of us went to after the main event last year (down the street from Ari's-where we met on Friday night last year). There is no cover charge, no money to be collected at all except everyone is responsible for their own drinks and food. There is indoor/outdoor seating, so should be plenty of room rain or shine! There is also a dance floor outside, so put on your dancing shoes and come join the fun! Not necessary to RSVP, but we hope to see everyone there! Spread the word, and if you have any questions, you can email Laurie Block Conklin at conklinbl@comcast.net or call (423)332-3341. See you in September!

Melissa Matthews Paz

Tony and I still live in McMinnville Tennessee and have 2 beautiful daughters. Samantha will be 16 in August and Aprile turned 12 in March. Some of you may remember that I did some major fund raising for Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation due to the fact that Aprile and Tony both have Type I diabetes. I have had several careers since the last reunion, I was an Industrial Engineer for 14 years and at the end of 2002 changed paths as a Director of Children Ministries at our Methodist Church did that for a year and half and then became the House Manager of McMinnville Country Club Until September 2006 at this time the Lord answered my prayers and gave the opportunity to have a career that allowed me to spend more time with our children. It was an honor to be accepted to enter the Teach Tennessee program; with my strong math and career background I was selected out of over hundred individuals to enter the Governors program to become a teacher. I am certified to teach 7th through 12th grade math. I hope to have a teaching position at Warren County High School this fall. It is really scary that in the next 4 years that over 50% of the high school math teachers are retiring and when I went to take the Math Praxis test (this the test to see if you know your stuff) out of all those fixing to graduate I was the only one taking that test. You can make more money doing something else and it is sad that our children will suffer educationally due to this. Since most of you know my brother and sister I will fill you in. Mike with wife Sheri and their 3 boys Michael II, Jeffrey and Joshua and are doing very well in Plano Texas. My dad is also living with his new wife of almost 2 years in Plano. Holly and her husband Keith are well and living with their children Allison and Eric in Ft. Walton Beach Florida. Holly and Keith are both Majors in the Reserves and Keith has served one tour in Irag and is scheduled to go back in 3 months so please keep them in your prayers. Holly also has a website www.hollybrelia.com. She has contempary Christian CD that she wrote and sang. It is awesome even if she is my sister. I hope to here from you all.
