After graduation, I attended UofH & floundered around until I ended up with a BBS in Marketing. Combined with a strong interest in homebrewing & great beers, I used the marketing degree to work for Shiner in the early 90's. Our little brewery was so successful, that Shiner acquired a brewery out in Portland, OR (BridgePort) & I transferred to the Pacific Northwest in 96.
I worked in Portland for a few years, selling beer and had the opportunity to switch to Full Sail Brewing and a real marketing job. I was the event coordinator there, as well as responsible for all of the cool stuff that breweries make - tees, hats, pints, tap handles, etc. (besides beer). Again, I had the excellent fortune to meet a wonderful brewer (who was brewing in Hawaii) and somehow lured him to Oregon. He got a brewing position at Full Sail & has progressed in his career.
I, however, retired from the beer world when I had our daughter in the late winter of my life - I mean - the late winter of 2006. I now have a fun business sewing and coordinating the odd event here and there. Hope all is well for you! Oh and we have 2 dogs, too.
