After graduation, I attended Sheridan Colloge for one year, then took two years off while skiing and fighting forest fires in the summers. I returned to school at the University of Wyoming. During the middle of my second year back I got a job offer from the City of Sheridan Fire Department-which I accepted. Later that year (1993) I got married to Mary, also a 1988 HS graduate but from Sundance, WY, whom I met at UW, and we have been married for 20 years, now. We had our first son, Alex, in 1998, the same year I decided the FD was not for me. I rookied as a Forest Service Smokejumper with plans to jump in the summers and teach elementary school in the winters. Returning to school for teaching didn't work either. I worked at UPS for a couple of years trying to figure out how to Smokejump and eat, too. Meanwhile, Mary had been working for First Interstate Bank, and accepted a managerial position at the West Yellowstone, MT branch. In the fall of 2000, we moved to West Yellowstone for a year, then to Bozeman for 5 years where I jumped in the summers and ski patrolled a couple of winters. After the birth of our second son Jeffrey we started looking at moving back to West Yellowstone, which we did in 2005. We built a home North of West Yellowstone in 2008. Mary is now the head lunch lady at the K-12 school here. I have been a Smokejumper with the West Yellowstone Smokejumpers for the last 15 years and I'm now the Assistant Operations Foreman. I've worked as a snowmobile guide in Yellowstone National Park for the past few winters, and love it!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
