Had a great time at the 20 year reunion- it was wonderful to see some old friends again.
I currently live in South Surrey with my husband of 15 years and my 8 year old son, Shakil. We have lived in Burnaby, Coquitlam, and Surrey (Newton) prior to moving to our new home in South Surrey last year (this is where I plan to be for many years to come as it is a wonderful neighborhood). My parents still live in North Delta so it is nice to be fairly close.
My husband and I own the Dog's Ear T-shirt & Embroidery Co. in Willowbrook Mall (Langley). He manages the store but I do pop in from time to time (mostly to SHOP!!).
I have been employed with CRA (formerly Revenue Canada) since 1990- my current position is that of a payroll auditor. About one month ago I made a decision to take a leave of absence from work to be a stay-home wife/mother and all I can say is that I LOVE IT!! (and my son loves it!) I'm not sure at this time when I plan to return- I know that I will be off till at least the end of the year.
After graduating from NDSS, I attended SFU (one year), BCIT (diploma in Admin Management) and Lakehead University in Thunder Bay (BRRRRR!!!) where I received my degree. I returned in 1988 and got married in the summer of 89.
Since I have been married, we have been fortunate enough to do a fair bit of travelling. Our travels have taken us to Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, California, Florida, Vegas, Montreal, the Caribbean, London, Paris, Spain and a few other places as well. Most recently (April 2004) we went to New Orleans (crazy city) and took a cruise from there.
As my son is a budding athlete , I have met quite a few of our fellow grads in the soccer field, etc. I must add that of all the accomplishments in my life, motherhood has been the most rewarding. I like to keep busy and involve myself in many community /school projects- I also like to keep active and plan to make better use of my gym membership (wishful thinking???) since I now have a little more time on my hands.
