Today's Featured Biography
Paul Peaslee
I've had a checkered employment history... bank messenger, air policeman, sausage maker, truck driver, construction worker, civil engineer, environmental scientest, programmer, and database administrator. I've steadfastly remained a hippie throughout Though, I'm nowhere near the free spirit I once was.
After some time in San Francisco, I did a stint in the Air force. Shortly after getting out, I returned to high school to take courses I avoided like the plague at West. Followed up with a wonderful period in college studying civil engineering. After graduating, I worked for the Department of the Army for six years. I left to create a CAD department at a ship building firm. I've worked at a local hospital since leaving the shipyard. Took me awhile to learn that being a hippie and a corporate success were conflicting goals, though I did attain some success as a corporate kinda guy.
During that time I was married, adopted a wonderful daughter, and divorced. I don't think it had much to do with being a hippie. Now that I think of it, though, maybe it did.
Today, I live with a wonderful girl who I'm madly in love with and who I believe loves me as much (she fancies hippies). We garden, fish, go to concerts, and travel together. We're also building the prototypical hippie estate on 17 acres of land not far from here.
