Additional bio:
Upon graduation from EHS I attended Hendrix College obtaining a B.A. in biology. On gaining admission to UAMS in 1964 I received my M.D. and B.S.Medicine degrees in 1968. In 1968-69 a rotating internship was done at St Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Then it was back to UAMS, Children's and the VA Hospitals for a year of General Surgery residency. Uncle Sam drafted me into the Air Force for two years at Davis Monthan AFB, Tucson, Az. It was back to UAMS for a 4 yr residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck surgery. After completing my training I moved to Rogers, Ar. to begin practicing at St Mary's Hospital. There I served as chief of surgery, chief of medical staff and a stent on the governing board. Board certification examinations were completed in 1976. The next 15 yrs was a blur, immersing myself in community activities : Rogers City Council, Rogers Planning Committee,United Way Board, and many positions while attending Central United Methodist Church. All the time coaching baseball, basketball, soccer with my two children David and Diane. Dabbling in creative activities occupied my extra time , photography, Jewelry making, pottery, sculpure in media like stone, bronze, wood and mixed media. Metal has been my latest endeavor since I acquired the ability to weld and use a plasma cutter. After my present wife Sheila entered my life she introduced me to horses, therefore trading in my motorcycle to become a cowboy. We competed in cutting horse shows taking us to many places throughout the country. The enclosed picture is me with one of those animals. We both enjoy trail riding and spend 2 1/2 months in Nogales Az. riding in the desert with friends during Jan. thru Mar. each year. We maintain a 30 acre hobby farm just outside of Rogers caring for 4 horses, 12 cattle, 9 chickens, 2 Australian cattle dogs and a barn cat. Before the animals, travel to England, Italy, South Africa,Napa Valley were our favorite things to do. I retired in 2004 and keep very busy. Volunteering at Circle of Life Hospice is my newest activity. Looking with anticipation at being with others at the reunion in October.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
