Today's Featured Biography
Eunice McIntosh Davies
I met my P-38 pilot at the end of WW2, dated while he finished optometric training and married on September 11th, 1947. We lived in Wenatchee Washington, for 9 months before moving to the Columbia Basin , our move coinciding with the time the water from Grand Coulee Dam came to this area. Irrigation turned our desert area into farms. Our town was the Hdqts for the Bureau of Reclamation, with its many engineers and their families. We raised all 6 children here, in a safe town, where the kids could roam. Ephrata still boasts an excellent school system. All have grown up and have families of their own in the larger towns of Seattle and Spokane.
We have traveled quite a bit to countries like Germany, Australia, New Guinea, England and Scotland (roots there for McIntoshes). We have enjoyed volunteering since retiring for organizations like Focus on the Family and Wycliffe Translators.
We have gone through the 5th wheel stage, having circomvented the USA the year we retired. Then we downsized to the camper, but my husband said recently, "Our camping days are over." So we sold our truck and camper.
I enjoy quilting, playing my piano, writing, and being with friends.
We give credit and thanks to God for giving us a wonderful life.
