Alan Buck

I went into construction Oct.1961 the day before I turned 18. I worked at that for a total of 15 years, with 2 years and 7 months spent in the Army,Fort Lewis,Aberdean Proving ground for Mechanics school.they off to Germany for 11 months when I got orders for Viet Nam, I was one of the luck ones never having to shoot anyone or really got shot at unless you count rockets from Russia. We had a Calif. Who had family that were still in Russia he was mad as a wet hen? I drove a 2 1/2 truck around Germany and work as a mechanic on 2 1/2 & 5 ton trucks. And towed them to storage when fixed. I went home for a month before going to Nam. I was a Mechanic for 2 months and shop foreman for 2 months. With about 9 months as an inspector in an Infantry Motor pool On the beach of the South China Sea. Very Nice I was promoted to Spec4 (E-4) when I finished school, I got promoted to Spec5 (E-5)after about 5 months. 1 of those rockets came close to the motor pool as it says Frag wound right hand I can
barely tell where it was. I came home June 1st 1970. went back to construction for about 6 or 7 years. that's when my back said enough of that stuff I was on disability for a year.
Till I went to work for a company which did Self improvement workshops something like EST.
I worked there for 12 years learned a lot about people and my self. I met My future wife at the reception desk, our joke is we were engaged for 27 1/2 years getting Married 3 years ago on Valentines Day since it was on a monday many friends could not make it. so we had it live on the internet, due to this we were interviewed by Mike Sugarman of KPIX CH 5 in San Francisco, My cousin thought aranged the whole thing And we Made the front Page of the local news paper of Palo Alto and we did not break any laws. We could never planed it any better. We moved to Prescott Valley 2 years ago march and we love it here.
Close to Stacys Mother 2 hours so we can get to her in 2 Hours She Is One Of the great Mother in Laws. I am becoming an artist and won a 3rd place ribbon at the V.A. Art Festival Out of 15 That was great, maybe I can sell some some day. I found a woman I had a crush on back in the late 1950s and early 60s she has giving me much support by telling me she knew I had a crush but did not know what to do. so we ended up great friend even after 50 plus years she and her sister went to Fremont High in east Oakland. We have emailed more than we ever talked back in the 60s She did tell me to tell Stacy not to worry about the old widow lady coming after her man. There went that Fantasy she said she had not loved me back than and said no I could not move there and be with Her that hurt at first but with her help and the help of a great shrink at the V.A. Stacy and I are great together once more and Talking about real things and that really works, Hot to see you all soon.
