I attended U of F for one year after graduation, worked downtown Miami for a several months, then joined the Air Force in April of 1959. I completed the Aviation Cadet navigation flight school at Harlingen, Texas, Electronic Warfare school at Keesler AFB, Biloxi MS (where I met my bride of 53 years), and B-52 Crew Training at Castle AFB, Merced, CA. I served 7 years at Amarillo AFB, TX, where our first two children were born. Two years in OK, then 10 years at Robins AFB in Warner Robins, GA, where we added one more natural birth and one adoption. Four more years at Castle AFB on the Wing Staff, then 4 glorious years stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany, where we got to visit many historical places, before retirement.
Upon retiring from the Air Force, we settled here in Hattiesburg, MS, where I completed a Master's Degree in Public Administration at the University of Southern MS (home of Bret Farve, for you football fans). Kristy got involved in Real Estate sales, her first outside the home job, and we have enjoyed not having to move again for these 28-plus years!
