Today's Featured Biography
Debbie Lee Jackson
I have to think about what goes here. The time is getting longer and my memory is getting shorter. After high school we moved to Los Angeles and then San Francisco for a couple of years. I LOVE San Francisco, but there are too many humans there. Malissa was born in SFO. We moved back to Laie just in time for the Great Laie Flood. I was 8 months pregnant and hoped I wouldn't have to borrow Bob LinKee's row boat to get to the hospital. It turned out ok. The water went down, the baby (Jennifer) decided to stay put another 2 months. So the rest of the kids were born, and, you guys remember that print shop I ran? I think it lasted about 5 or 6 years. Then we started that thrift store. It was really fun. Then we had another thrift store at Temple Valley. Then we moved to California - no, not SFO, but Fresno. Take my word - don't ever do that. All I can say is it was hot, hot, hot, and I'm not talkin about George. So we bought an existing print shop and ran it for a few years - 8 I think. During that time we bought a house, went back to school, raised the kids, did some travelling, and got back into church. We hosted several foreign exchange students over the years and have many fond and also some not-so-fond memories of that time. The best part about that is that we have a place to stay in all those students' countries - but we're on our own for getting there. So then, a couple of years later, we moved back to Laie to help take care of George's mom. We were able to spend a few months with her until she left for the other side. George works for BYUH Housing. I'm happy at BYU-H Print Services - mmmm the smell of ink and solvent - it's in my blood. We have a new moopuna who was born Oct 30, 2007. She along with her half brother make two moopuna for us. I LOVE being Tutu!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
