Today's Featured Biography
Kyle Coffman
The long and winding road led me to Maui, with detours aplenty. The year after graduation I worked and then traveled across country. I was so enthralled by Boston that I wound up going to college there. At one point I considered living there. My last Boston winter convinced me otherwise, however. The cold and the snow I don't mind....but ice on the sidewalks and the streets? You call that living? And, yes, I still had only just begun....
So, I packed my bags (or, rather, my backpack)and stuck out my recently de-iced thumb to begin a long zig zag across country. My trek ended three months later at the L. A. airport. I arrived home in time to enroll as a graduate student at the UH/Manoa. Not knowing what I wanted to be when I grew up, I became a professional student.
Years later, I emerged with a law degree. Originally from an outer island, I wanted to return to one. While waiting for a position to open in Hilo, I got a call from a judge on Maui. He offered me a year long clerkship.
So once again, I packed my bags (or, rather, 27 enumerated boxes) and loaded my 1967 Toyota (with boxes stuffed inside) on the barge. A year later I hung out a shingle here. I have a general practice, but am doing a lot of family law. Maui was growing when I got here. Apparently its growth has picked up. It's still nice, however.
Marriage? Kids? Yes and No. Maybe again and it's still possible--after all, I'm a guy :).
....And I've lived on Maui, gathering moss ever since. I'm collecting material for my autobiography, to be published no time soon. First, I need my 15 minutes of fame. To be trite, I also need to figure out what I've become since I grew up. :)

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
