Joe Bartel, Jr.
Hello there fellow Taft 87ers,
It's been an amazing journey since graduating from Taft in 1987, but with my ongoing faith I have been able to move through it all just fine. I received my BA in film & video from Columbia College Chicago in 1992. I was a finalist in the 1992 Columbia College Chicago Film Festival and was honored to have had my film chosen by Academy Award winning cinematographer Janusz Kaminski who filmed "Schindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan". Very proud to have served in the United States Naval Reserves as well. Along the way I've had my own dj business having had the honor of djing the reunions for Taft Classes of '53,'56,'60,'63 and '89. Happy to have organized the Class of '87 10 and 20 year reunions and now tackling the 25th. Someone has to do it right? I've got the time and patience, and I'm glad I can lend a hand. With that said, we truly have such a wonderful class family. As time moves along the more I realize what a unique and interesting tapestry our class represents. I really do believe that we were definitely ahead of of our time as trend setters in terms of 1987 standards. Really looking forward to seeing you all at the 25th in July, 2012. Until then...thanks for checking out our page and updating your info and letting us know what you've been up to. It is my wish that you are all currently being blessed with great things in your individual as well as families lives...
