Larry Karraker

Still living large in Atlanta.
I have been with the same company almost 22 years. We are owned by a company out of Canada. John Deere sold us at the end of 2010 to a large company that lets companies it purchases stand on their own, and to keep doing what we do. Things are going great and I hope to stay with them until I retire at 93. If I work really hard I should be able to move it back to 89 or so. I technically "retired" from John Deere, received severance and all.| I decided it was time to bump up to a bigger Harley. Bought a 08 Harley Street Glide. It is my severance Harley. May be not the smartest thing I have ever done, but there ya go.

Juliet and I have been married 13 years. Juliet is the master groomer for a local vet. Daughter Melissa lives in Manhattan and works in the billing dept and a medical facility. Her husband, Charles works for Sprint. Son Michael, is still a struggling actor. He is currently appearing as Hook in Peter Pan in Ohio. Does anyone have Oprah or Ellen Degeneres' phone number? He just needs to be seen by the right people to sky rocket to success. He has 2 sons. Tim is in Perry, Ok and has 2 son's and 3 daughters. His girlfriend is expecting our 14th grandchild. Kristina is hanging in Atlanta and works at a couple of different places as a groomer. She raises and shows Chinese Crested dogs and has a couple of champions. Bonnie is still in Inman and works at the home where my mom stayed until she passed last year. Her husband, Mike is working at the Refinery in Mac. They have a son and 2 daughters. Megan (Juliet’s daughter) lives in Wichita with a school teacher and his son and has 2 daughters now. She also works in the medical clinic profession. Justin lives in Arkansas and has a culinary degree.

Juliet and I are enjoying the Atlanta life style. We are always going to concerts, shows and events and having a great time. A couple of years ago we became involved with an organization called Stand Up for Kids. They help homeless kids in downtown ATL. StandUp has a center where the kids can get a hot meal, change of clothes, a shower, job coaching and medical help. We figured we don't really have much else going on during the week so we felt this was a way we could give back a bit of our time and try to help others. Juliet works in the center and I am the director of the Street Outreach program. The organization was started as a street outreach. Basically, we try and help the kids where they are. We carry a food pack, health pack and a shirt. It is pretty rewarding to be able to give a homeless teen something that they need, like food ,socks or hygiene. Will be riding the Glide back to Kansas from Atlanta. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
