55 Year Reunion Announcement!

We had a great 50-year reunion in August 2024 and look forward to meeting up again in 2029. We had 75 attendees at the 50-year reunion, thanks to the organizing work of the class reunion committee.
We're trying to keep this class directory updated, and have added several new bios, photos and obituaries since the 50-year reunion. Our hope is that this remains a "relatively" up-to-date record of our class's coming and goings, so feel free to update your bio at any time.
Also you can ask to join our Class Facebook page at any time (which is a little more user friendly and easy to ready). It's called the "McPherson (Ks.) High School Class of 1974."

Today's Featured Biography
Janet McNaul Fournier
I live in Overland Park, Kansas, and have lived in Kansas City for the past 42 years. I can't believe it has been 50 years since we all graduated! I have three great kids. My youngest (daughter) Lauren graduated from KU and married about 4 years ago and is pregnant with her first child. It is a girl and due in September. My oldest son Nathan, graduated from K-State, so we are covered with the two best schools in the state! He is a real estate agent as well and has been for 19 years. My middle son Chad moved back to Kansas City about 4 years ago, after being on the East Coast for several years. It is wonderful to have him back! I have two beautiful grandchildren, Vienne who is 7 years and Leo who is 10! They are the most behaved and curious kids I have had the pleasure to be with. I am incredibly blessed!
I have worked on things that make me uncomfortable. I received my pilot's license about 22 years ago, have jumped out of a perfectly good plane (at 14,500 feet), walked across hot coals (did not get burned), and have visited Costa Rica 5 times in the past 4 years. I just got back a couple of weeks ago and am ready to go again. It is a beautiful country and I love it! I learned to scuba dive and on one of my dives in Belize, I was at 85 feet and could not get enough air. I managed to get to the surface without panicking. A doctor on the island who did not speak English saved my life. I am forever grateful. I had immersion pulmonary edema and spent several days in a hospital, glad to be alive.
When I was in high school, I drove a 1961 or 62 Dodge Lancer that had studded tires and a push-button panel for drive, reverse, etc. I bought it from our next-door neighbor, the Busby's in 1974 for $250.00 to take to Barton County Community College. My college roommate Patty Reiser and I had so much fun and made such great memories. Patty is missed greatly by me as well as her other wonderful friends. While in high school, I was a waitress at Starlight, the bowling alley, and occasionally at the Elks Club. I also loved my job at Meller Photo Lab on Main Street where customers would drop off their films for development.
I have been a real estate agent with RE/MAX in Kansas City for the past 21 years and am licensed in Kansas and Missouri. I love selling houses and it is an honor to help people with typically the biggest investment of their lives.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the next reunion, but most importantly, reconnecting with fellow graduates. It is really interesting to see in what direction all of us have gone. Thanks, Michelle for putting this all together!!!!
