Our 50th Reunion was a great success!
This is just a quick note to say that I'll be coming back sometime soon to give you a recap of our 50th reunion, or maybe I'll send out an email to all on our list.
The bottom line was that we had more guests than any of our reunions, and our finances are in excellent shape which will make it easier when we go to do our 55th or 60th reunion.
It was a blast to be part of the planning effort! More soon...

Today's Featured Biography
Tom Rogers
After ABRHS, I attended Hudson Institute which was on a beautiful 52 acre farm in Hudson MA. It was probably the smallest 4 year college in the world, with only 12 students enrolled for 72/73, 5 of which came from Acton.
In 1975 I went on to the North Bennett Street School in Boston (the oldest trade school in America), where I studied Cabinet and Furniture Making.
In 1977 I went into the woodworking business setting up a shop in Boston's South End. Thomas Rogers & Company created and installed high end custom made interior woodwork, doors and furniture. I managed large contacts for clients like Robin Cook (Coma) who would have enough work to keep my crew of 10 cabinetmakers busy for over a year.
I lived in Boston for 20 years, and got married at 40. We wasted no time having kids. When our second child was born we were 44 and ready to leave the city. So we moved to Hamilton MA to give the suburban life a try.
Back in 2002, when helping to organize our 30th reunion, I felt we should have a reunion website, so I gave it a shot and found it enjoyable.
In 2003 I cofounded a grass roots community organization called Citizens for a Strong Community (CSC) with a mission of healing a rift that erupted after the state took an axe to school funding. In addition to a newsletter that I managed, the org needed a web site, so I took that on. Soon after, I scored my first gig as webmaster for the National Empowerment Center. Overnight I found myself in a new business - Tom Rogers Web Design. I did that for 20 years, but as I was about to turn 71, decided to retire (9/24). Between the woodworking and web design, I was self employed for 45 years!
I lost my dear wife, Pam Wells, in a horrible bicycle accident in 2013. In 2019 I downsized to a fixer upper in Ipswich, and have been renovating it now for 5 years. I've been doing as much of the work as I can - keeps me out of trouble:) I'm now about 95% done, and look forward to getting everything in its place, and a place for everything:)
Thanks for visiting my profile. I hope that you will follow my lead and update your profile so we can get a chance to see what you've been up to.
