Today's Featured Biography
Susan Brookfield
Greetings fellow classmates!
This is my fifth season working in a High Sierra California resort area as a realtor and it has truly been a pleasure! My husband, Mike, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the amenities of the mountains with two of our three children, for the past 8 years.
However, in spite of the beauty here, later this year we will be relocating to the Portland, Oregon area (also beautiful) where all of our children will be living. In light of this eventuality, we purchased a second home, a houseboat, just north of Portland from which we can kayak, swim off our deck, or sail our 24' Allegra sailboat north to tour the Puget Sound or sail to Hawaii.
My background since high school includes a Baccalaureate degree in Earth Sciences/Geology, work as a Cartographer, an Environmental Specialist in Water Protection, Peace Corps service in Zaire as a Water Technician, a pen and ink business doing renderings of Private Homes, a Deli/Coffee Shop/Ice Cream Parlor proprietor, Property Manager and Owner of more than 10 homes, a home school teacher, and now, a Realtor.
On a lighter note, in my spare time I have been known to co-captain a tennis team, cut a CD, hike out both over water in sailboat races and from the Grand Canyon by a gibbous moon, win an international pool championship, and play Finlandia on a blade of grass!!
Mike retired from the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad to remodel our home and become a gourmet chef. Our eldest daughter, is obtaining a Fine Arts degree in Interior Design and will be marrying next year. Our son just graduated from Lassen Community College and is working at an excellent job in Portland, also. Our youngest daughter will graduate from high school in June and then join her siblings for college. She has been studying Kung Fu and the violin. We all eagerly anticipate the coming year!
It is my firm belief that two of the most critical decisions people make in their lifetimes are the purchase of their home and/or the realization of their dreams. I am committed to helping them do just that as a relocated realtor in both Oregon and Washington.
Please note that my website shows a depletion of my real estate inventory due to my pending move.
I am looking forward with great enthusiam to reuniting with all of you at our 40th! Please don't miss it!!
