Pauline Wasek Glaza

By the end of the last class reunion I had the "20 second update" down pat. Let's see if I can make that happen here:

Earned AAS and BS from Ferris, married Dave (the best thing that ever happened to me) in the fall of 1984 (some may remember Dave as he and I started dating when I was a junior at WHS), three great kids: Anne (15, a freshman) Paul (11, 5th grade), Tim (8, 3rd grade). I have had my own business since 1990, took it full time in 1991 and now enjoy providing consulting/ writing/marketing services to architectural/engineering and construction firms. (In a nutshell: I help companies land big jobs.) In the fall of 2003 I was elected to Village Council in our town -- Waterville, Ohio -- and I have another year in that post.

On October 19 I will celebrate 5 years of being cancer-free. We found (get this) superficial malignant fibrous hystiocytoma in my left shin just a couple of weeks before 9/11. Surgery and a course of radiation at U of M followed. Five years is the big number we've been looking forward to. It's another form of graduation in a way...

Wish I could be with you on the 21st as it would be great to see everyone again. Family commitments here make it impossible to get there (remember those three kids I mentioned!) Enjoy the evening and thanks to Jolene and all for your work in putting the reunion together.
