Nikki Edwards
Dang!! Where did 20 years go!?!?!
I spent most of my time after high school- in school. Immediately after graduating NB I spent six years enjoying UNC-Asheville's BFA program and after graduating there, began an even more satisying MFA program at the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!!)
After graduating from UGA I moved to "Hotlanta" (at the advice of a professor) to be closer to "the more serious art scene."
I lasted only 3 months for my heart yearned so for dear old Weaverville that I threw paintings and pillow into my 1970 and 1/2 "metallic peanut butter" Ford Falcon and blasted off for home!
I've held different jobs here; became a substitute teacher for Buncombe Co. and even subbed and North Buncombe a couple of times!! Boy was that weird!
Now I work for Lowe's selling screws and bolts to all of Asheville's nuts. No it's not my dream but it's a job.
I never wanted to marry or have children, so I didn't!
I continue to paint(landscapes mostly) and am in the process of sending slides to galleries in the Southeast.
When I do have free time I'm usually painting, gardening which I love, or making some of the best dang 'ol barbeque you've ever put on a bun!
Yep I've really changed from being the "artsy smartsy, nose ring wearing, Doc Marten wearing goober (which college can teach one to be) to dirt diggin' bluegrass listenin' (with a little Skynrd thrown in) plain ol' Nik. I like her a lot better!!
So It's good to hear that you're all doing so well and I hope you're all as happy as I am!!

p.s... did any of ya'll's vocabulary slowly collapse like mine did?? ... and what's a preposition again??? square root? aren't most roots round? I've never seen a square turnip!!!
