Today's Featured Biography
ERIK STORM
UPDATE (7 Aug 2008): I was very sad to hear of Jason's passing. I remember it was right after that first summer I was in Weaverville that he first got sick. He was one of the first friends I made after moving from Florida. I was in a new place, and certainly out of my element, moving from Miami to Weaverville, but he really made me feel welcome. He was a special person, and my thoughts go out to his family and friends.
I and my family are doing well in Fayetteville; the girls are now ages 6, 4, and 2 respectively. I have less than 2 years left to go in the Army, and likely will not be going back to Iraq. As I turned the big 4-0 a number of weeks ago, I really have begun to look back at where I've been. Hearing things like Jason's passing only makes that reminisence more profound. I know I wasn't very close with many of you way back then, but I do look forward to re-aquainting with as many as would like to.

After NB, went to UNC-W for 2 years, then to NC State. BS in Civil Engineering while doing co-op work in Florida. Graduated in 1992 and went to work in various locations around Florida and NC.
Went to medical school in 1997, and did my residency in diagnostic radiology. I am a physician in the Army, currently deployed to Iraq, but when I return I will be at Ft. Bragg's Womack Army Medical Center.
I married my wife Brenda in 1999, and we now have 3 beautiful little girls. I look forward to re-connecting with everyone.
