After traveling the world courtesy of the USAF, including attending high schools in both Kent OH and Bellevue NE, I've settled down north of Baltimore, Maryland, almost in Pennsylvania. It's a refurbished house on 1 acre of land with lots of room for hobbies and well away from the maddening DC area traffic.
I met my wife in the cafeteria in my University of Michigan freshman dorm, and we've been married for 47 years. We have one daughter who's out of college and on her own, leaving my wife and I to be "just a couple" again.
Since 1972, I've lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas, Fairfax County, Virginia (across the Potomac River from Washington, DC), before moving to Maryland in 2018. I've worked exclusively in the field of environmental protection.
I no longer run (the knees and hips can't take it anymore), but I walk, golf, and swim. For 17 years I coached girls fastpitch softball which became a passion with me, but I hung up my cleats after the 2012 fall season when I realized the kids I was coaching were old enough to be my grandchildren. Now I'm just trying to shoot par on the golf course and make every family get together possible.
In 2015, I started a new stage of life as a retiree, and have a life of travel, family visits, golf, and non-profit environmental work. I'm trying to visit as many national parks (55 out of 63 to date), monuments, and historical sites as possible, and also play at least one golf round in every state (49 to date). I'm also reconnecting with HS and college friends along my travels. As I tell friends, I'm just as busy, with the difference being that I can sleep in on weekdays and only do things I want to do. OK, and what my wife wants me to do.
Every once in a while when I look back over the years, I just have to remark, "One heck of a ride. Wouldn't have missed it for the world."

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
