I served 8 years in the US Army both overseas and stateside as an Intelligence Analyst (96B20), Reserve Drill Sergeant (11B3X), & an EMT/Combat Flight Medic (91A20F) from August of 1982 to September of 1990. As of the 13th of January 2006, I am currently serving in the US Army Reserves again.
I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at Rochville University with a major in Security & Safety Management in December 2003 and my Master of Science degree at Redding University with a major in Occupational Safety & Health in December 2007. I completed the Joint Service CP-12 Safety Intern Training Course at Ft Rucker AL in November of 2006.
I have worked in the safety field at several organizations, and among them are:
1. The Michigan School for the Deaf, Flint, MI. from March 2003 to February 2004 as a Fire & Safety Officer (Full Time, Seasonal). I provided Safety, Fire, and Security overview for the schools staff, students, campus buildings and grounds.
2. Hemlock Semiconductor Corp. (Dow Corning) in Hemlock, Michigan as a Safety & Loss Prevention Officer from July 1992 to September 2002 (Full Time) where I performed duties as a Plant Safety Officer.
I do have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
I have many certifications of training, experience and a good working knowledge in the Fire Science, Haz Mat, and EMS fields acquired through full-time, part-time and volunteer work.
My current goals are to provide the Soldiers and civilian employees of the 108th TC (IET), and their families with the safest most effective work environment and to have a positive effect on their on-duty and off-duty lives.
My wife Theresa and I have been happily married for a little over 25 years now and are the proud parents of 10 children (3 biological, 7 adopted), 4 girls and 6 boys. They still currently reside at our residence in Indian Trail, NC. 4 are currently attending local colleges.
I enjoy any time spent with my family and any activity with our church, motorcycle riding, mountain biking, camping, hiking, boating, and just about any team sport.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
