Today's Featured Biography
Michael Harris
I retired from Bellsouth in 2003 and spent the next year relaxing on Lake Lanier, here in Georgia. After months of bikini-clad women and wretched partying, I decided that I really needed to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up (otherwise I was going to end up looking like Billy Bob Thorton in Slingblade). I was offered a DOD contracting position in Iraq to assist in the design, development and deployment of a telecommunications infrustructure for the U.S. military. God only knows why I accepted the position! I sure wish I could say that it was the patriotic thing to do but the reality of it is, it was simply an offer I couldn't refuse.
After spending more than a year away, I finally realized it was time to come home. I was beginning to miss the little things in life . . . the comfort of a bed with a real mattress, blue skies, changes in seasons, decent food and not to mention, intelligent conversations with a real woman. Don't get me wrong, the nineteen to twenty-one year old girls did serve their purpose. However at this point, I'll take quality over quantity any day of the week.
At the moment, I'm doing volunteer work for the American Red Cross, in the blood donor center. I just found out that it'll be a year before I can actually donate blood because of my stay in Iraq, due to the sand fleas and mosquitoes. I guess I shouldn't be so suprised after coming home from a third world country where the living conditions are so atrocious. It's certainly great to be home again!
I'm currently dating a lovely lady of thirty nine. She can do 5 shots of tequila and still maintain a converstion. Yes, doesn't take much to impress me these days!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
