After graduating from Reagan, I attended the University of Houston, graduating in May, 1964, with a Bachelor of Music Education. I taught public school music one year in the Houston area, then moved to Ft. Stockton, Texas, and taught music, grades 1 through 3, for 2 years. I met my husband in Ft. Stockton. We were married in February, 1966. I resigned in 1967 just before our daughter, Wendy was born.
In 1970, we moved to Alpine, Texas where Bill was employed as a deputy sheriff. Both our children attended school in Alpine. In 1975 I earned a Master of Music Education from Sul Ross State University, where I had worked as a graduate assistant in the music department while taking courses.
Not wanting to leave this area so I could continue teaching, I entered the world of retail. I worked in the only bookstore in Alpine for several years. Later I managed a local Christian bookstore for several years before purchasing it. I closed the store known as "Rainbow's End" in the fall of 2007.
I currently work as a secretary in the Vocational Nursing Department of SRSU. It is a half-time position and leaves my afternoons free for other interests.
Wendy is married and lives in Ridgecrest, California, with her husband Jeff and son Seth. Wendy works in a Christian daycare and Jeff is a computer tech for the China Lake Weapons Testing Center.
Bill Jr. (Billy still to his family) lives in the Nashville area, where he is employed building guitars for Gibson Guitars.
My husband Bill stays at our farm property north of Ballinger, Texas.
I am now retired and loving every minute of it. Retired officially December 11, 2009.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
