Today's Featured Biography
Mary Holmes Kasper
I have been married to a great guy for 52 years (Don). After High School I went to work for HL&P. After college (Lamar Tech) Don also came to work for HL&P. We met, married, and had our children. After 7 years of marriage, Don decided to leave his engineering job to become a Lutheran Pastor, So we packed up our family and moved to St. Louis, MO for him to attend Concordia Seminary. After graduation from Seminary, we were at churches in New Orleans and Vicksburg, MS. In 1989 Don became the Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota, TX and we were there for 24 years. I had several other jobs before starting with the Corp of Engineers in Vicksburg. I retired in 2008 from the Federal Government (USDA) with 25 years of service. We have 3 children, 3 daughter-in-laws or son-in-laws, 11 grandkids and 4 great grandkids. My oldest son Greg and his family live in Denver, CO and he is an attorney, my middle son Danny and his family live in Salado, TX and he works for an Electrical Engineering firm, and my daughter Kristi and her family live in Cedar Park, TX and she is Executive Vice President and Provost at Concordia University in Austin. My grandchildren ages range from 33 years to 5 years old (2 boys and 9 girls) and I have a great time being their Memaw. God has truly blessed me with a wonderful life and family. I give Jesus all the praise! He is my strength and salvation!
