Leonora Reed
I am a communications professional with an exemplary record of developing and implementing effective, innovative and high-profile marketing campaigns, growing brands and franchises in film, television and advertising. I work with some of the world's most iconic brands including Cadbury, Disney, Google, Paramount, Pixar and 20th Century Fox.
Increasingly, I am dedicating my time and expertise towards the charity and NGO sector in supporting mentoring and development training for the world's next generation of leaders.
My career started in the film industry by successfully launching a number of blockbuster films by identifying generation segment motivators as well as creating the zeitgeist of unmissable event movies, I’ve been instrumental in creating and capturing pop culture phenomena such as Titanic, Armageddon, Braveheart and Toy Story 2. For Titanic, I convinced Paramount to change the existing strategy and implement the love story campaign that resulted in a jump of 43% in total sales in its ninth week of release, the largest ever Valentine’s Day screening of a film to date, raised repeat viewing to 20% from a standard of 5%, and was instrumental in creating global Leo Mania.
As Associate Producer of Culture, Nominee for the 71st Academy Award’s Best Live Action Short, we told the darkly comic tale in a true battle of the generations as the ambitious young editor of the New York Times ‘Culture’ section is eventually felled by his ancient secretary who steadfastly refuses to be brought up to date.
Latterly, I’ve been working with UBS London’s Executive Directors, creating and presenting an interactive workshop, Talking ‘Bout My Generation, changing everything about how they motivate, reward and talk, listen and interact with each other and the world at large. TBG provides the leadership team with a toolkit to embrace the change in authority dynamics and the implications and shifts needed for Gen Y’s communication and service expectations in addition to forecasting for Gen Next’s expectations across these areas.
I live with my son, Hamish in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside and am only 45 minutes by train from central London, so it's a great work/life balance for us both. I'm hoping to one day be awarded an OBE for bringing the joys of s'mores, brownies and chocolate chip cookies to Britain!
