Today's Featured Biography
Marian Healy Palmer
I grew up in Ballard enjoying lots of family and the great outdoors. We enjoyed boating on Puget Sound and spending our summer time at Lake Washington.
I went to Loyal Heights, James Monroe, and Ballard. I was at WSU for 3 years, fell in love, moved back home and graduated from U of W.
Rand and I moved to Spokane and raised our family their. We have two children, Bruce and Kay. We have 5 beautiful, talented, smart, etc. grandchildren.
Spokane has been a great place to live. Rand worked for the City and I was a Kindergarten teacher. We love back packing, and traveling. A highlight for me is taking each grandchild to Canada for a week, when they are 10 years old.
Rand and I love to travel. We have enjoyed great hiking trips in England. Visiting my family in Norway was one of the best times of my life.
My second career is educating people about being healthy. I injured my back and had to give up hiking and a lot of other things I enjoyed. I found alternative medicine is a great way to be healthy, thus started my Nikken career.
My favorite new hobby is digital scrap booking. My goal is to put all our family pictures on line for safe keeping. I am making hard back books, pictures, and other projects. It is very addictive and a lot of fun.
Modern technology is a challenge but worth it. I check in on Facebook, Emails, and enjoy connecting with friends.
Rand and I have a great life. It has purpose because we trust and follow Christ. It has value because of our family and friends.
