Today's Featured Biography
Doug Hartz
Attended OC, Travelled around the country summer of 71; stayed at parks, homes, missions and Jesus People Communes; Married Lynne Riddle in 1973. Have: two great kids; Joel (1974)and Kristi(1976), and two fantastic grandchildren; Bryant(2000) and Jenna(2005)whom we babysit weekly. Framed some houses and then worked in or as a: Marine Electrician, Nuclear inspector, Nuclear test/engineering, Temporary services Electrician, Industrial planning specialist, Shop Plannerman, Advanced Planning, Workload forecasting, and retired as a Fleet Support Business Agent for Puget Sound Naval shipyard. I went back to finish my ATA at age 50. I have written lots of songs, play guitar and sing; have led worship at many churches (always with a little 60's rock influence); have a copyright on scale and chord charts for guitar; designed and built my own home and my daughter's addition; work out (keep breaking personal strength records), 2nd degree Brow Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do instructor rate (combined martial arts)(taken several 1st and 2nd places in 4 tournaments); teach or tutor a little guitar, bass, math and physics and martial arts; Volunteer at local grade school : Certified Fitness instructor, Certified Bodyweight trainer and certified self defense instructor. Spent 2 weeks in Cameroon Africa with Bread for Life (Jan-Feb 09). Lynne and I travel often to Maui, the Southwest, and Nashville using tmeshares, and more recently, an RV. Love survival and hiking. Worked the summer of 2015 and the winter of 2017 in Yokosuka Japan as well as in Bremerton, as a SR. Eng. Tech for LCE. Mission trip to Bolivia with my grandson 2018. Worked 4 winters in Guam as a certified SEA Coach for LCE with the navy submarine tenders. One last time as DOD contractor in shipyard 2023. Will be travelling with our new travel trailer.
