Today's Featured Biography
Bill Johns
I moved to texas .. graduated there.
Texas is weird. I live in Huntsville right now, which is about 40 mi north of Houston. Houston is a crazy city- You can drive at 100 mph for an hour and STILL be inside the city.
When I graduated high school, Compaq asked me to work for them. I spent 5 years there working on all kinds of stuff, ranging from modem protocols, (kflex, x2, v90), then to network equipement. I worked on the homePNA networking (2wire)for a while, then moved to the commercial laptop design group. I left Compaq in 2002 to return to full time school.
While I was working at Compaq, I got interested in car racing. I raced miatas for a while in SCCA, but that is an expensive hobby. After totalling 2 miatas, I decided I would wait until I'm out of school to get back into it. However, track racing is the most fun I have ever had - it is a mixture of pure terror and exhilaration.
My new hobby is SCUBA. I got interested in 2000, and have become an instructor over the years. I teach beginner SCUBA classes at the univ, which is very enjoyable. I spend my summers in the water, hopefully this summer I'll be in florida on a boat for most of the summer. :D
College is an adventure. I am in no hurry to get out - The corporate world sucks.
Hope everyone else has been having a good time as well.
