Today's Featured Biography
William Brockman
I was born on a Friday, October 30, 1959. Almost a goblin my Dad tells me. We lived over on James Street just off Fair Oaks. A few years later we would move to a new area of Madison's "far" eastside on Vondron Road. That was my home of record for a very long time.
Started school at Elvjhem Elementary School. Mrs. May was my Kindergarten teacher. After passing that I of course moved on to 1st grade there also. The following 7 years was spent attending St. Dennis Catholic School. And the St Denny's kids can attest to every fun filled moment we had there. Sometime I wonder how I made it through those classes.
Moved on to bigger and better things when high school started. Bigger school, different kids, and classes. Tried track and volleyball for one year. But stuck with swimming until my junior year when a doctor told me I could not swim due to a sinus condition. Auto class was my favorite subject.
After high school I went right into the Army. What was supposed to be only 3 years turned into a career. I spent 15 years traveling around. I was a Tank systems mechanic the whole time. The last 4 years was as a M1A1 Tank Systems Mechanic/Instructor. I live in Germany for a total of almost 8 years, Texas for 3 years. My last duty Station was Ft. Knox, KY, but I never was there much. Being an Instructor took me to all the large military bases with tanks. We also ended up training in Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield/Storm.
Once I got out of the military in 1992 I could not find a job as a heavy vehicle mechanic, so I opted for a temporary job as a bill collector. I have done every aspect of collections sin then. Even found time to go back to school and get a Bachelor's Degree in Business Science/Business Management. I currently work for GE Capital as their Government Collector for healthcare equipment.
I have 3 kids, Chris (29), John (24) and Henry who will be 7 in January. I am married to a very wonderful woman, Diane, and she keeps me in line (pretty much). I like hunting, fishing, and metal detecting.
That's me in a nutshell.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
