Today's Featured Biography
Deepa Rao Buss
I went to IU not know what the heck I wanted to do. I lived in the dorms, became a Resident Assistant, and met Drew there. I did an intership in Washington, D.C. in my senior year, got engaged, and graduated with a BS in Public Administration.
We jointly did our first years of Grad school (me in the MPA program, Drew in Counseling), got married (1994), graduated again, and then moved to NE where Drew grew up and to be closer to his family. At first, big culture shock for this "city girl", but we settled in, built a house in 1997, and have been here ever since.
Our daughter, Maya, is now going on 10 and in the 4th grade. She's a tom-boy who climbs trees and is athletic, but can also sing and dance.
I am Communications Manager for the NE Dept. of Revenue and we just sold our business(es), Precision Rain (underground sprinklers) and Enhanced Homescapes (outdoor residential general contracting).
Drew is currently temping with the NE Dept. of Labor and may become a full-fledged state employee soon! :)
I'm going to try to come to the reunion, but don't know yet.
